DPRK visas are not stamped into your Passports, but rather given as a separate document at the mandatory pre-tour meeting in our Beijing office one day prior to your tour’s start date at 4:00PM, so your Passport will not have any indications of your entry to DPRK.

Please note that we cannot confirm you have been accepted for DPRK visa until a week or so before your departure (sometimes earlier). We normally have no problems however it is worth remembering that this is not a typical destination and you might have to make last minute travel changes (in this instance we would of course assist you where possible). During last several years we did not have any cases of individual visa denials. It is basically all or none deal. For example, all tours were canceled in 2008 due to devastating floods in DPRK.

If New Korea Tours cannot arrange visas or for whatever reason it is not possible to travel to DPRK at the specified date (or you cannot make rescheduled dates) – a full refund will be made for funds paid for the tour.

You will require to have double or multiple entry Chinese visa if you unable to use China 72-Hour Visa-Free Transit option. You do not need Chinese visa if you stay in Beijing less than 72 hours before and after the tour. Please let us know if you are planning to utilize 72 hour China visa free transit option. You will need a minimum of 6 months validity in your passport to enter both China and DPRK.

Picking up your DPRK visa
