AM: Bus from office to airport.
PM: Flight JS152 from Beijing to Pyongyang (business class), 13:00 departure, arrive Pyongyang 16:25, meet your Korean guides who will accompany you during your stay. En route to the hotel stop off at the Arch of Triumph - similar to the French version (but bigger) - commemorates the liberation from Japanese rule - where you can go to the rarely visited top level, Check in hotel. Wed 29th Aug

AM:Fountain Park, Mansudae Grand Monument statue of DPRK President Kim Il Sung, Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum (Korean War Museum) - hear and see the DPRK version of the conflict, War Victory Monuments - sculptures of notable events from the war, lunch at Ok Ryu cold noodle restaurant
PM: Kim Il Sung University to meet students and see recent modernizations, Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, Military Circus performance, walking tour of city centre, Pyolmuri Coffee shop, dinner at National Restaurant
OVERNIGHT: Potonggang Hotel, Pyongyang

Thu 30th Aug

AM: Kumsusan Memorial Palace - Mausoleum where President Kim Il Sung lies in state, Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery - bronze busts of the Koreans who died fighting the Japanese occupation, boat cruise along the Taedong river to Mangyongdae, lunch and entertainment on the cruise
PM: Mangyongdae Native House - birthplace of the DPRK founder Kim Il Sung, Mansudae Art Studio - Pyongyang’s centre of artistic excellence to meet artist and see the process of creating statues and paintings, Pyongyang Metro (extended ride) - the deepest in the world, take a ride with the locals, USS Pueblo - tour the American espionage ship captured in the 1968 to meet one of the crew members who captured the ship and hear of their experiences, dinner at Arirang Restaurant
OVERNIGHT: Potonggang Hotel, Pyongyang

Fri 31st Aug

AM: Drive to Kaesong (2.5 hours) - a historical city near the DMZ which avoided being destroyed in the Korean War, Panmunjom/DMZ boundary between North and South Korea, Kaesong Embroidery Institute, lunch at Re-unification traditional restaurant
PM: Local park & pavilion, return to Pyongyang, Theatrical performance, Juche Tower - 150m stone tower with lookout platform at the top and great panoramic views of the city, Pyongyang Diplomatic Club for evening entertainment and dinner
OVERNIGHT: Potonggang Hotel, Pyongyang

Sat 1st Sep

AM: Flight JS151 from Pyongyang to Beijing (business class), 09:00 departure. arrive Beijing 10:00. End of Tour.

PRE-TOUR MEETING: Monday 27th August, 4PM, at our office in Beijing
EXPECTED WEATHER: It will be hot and humid around this time with frequent rain showers, around 25° C Raincoat/umbrella advised!

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  2. All meals
  3. Hotel accommodations in DPRK
  4. All entry fees
  5. Two guides and a driver per group
  6. All transportation in DPRK
  7. Transportation to Beijing airport prior to departure to DPRK.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE (all payments paid in cash) :

  1. Transportation from your country to Beijing and hotel stay in Beijing
  2. Optional single room supplement of $60 per night (must be booked in advance and can be pre-paid in US with credit card)
  3. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
  4. DPRK visa fee $75
  5. Tip for the guides (approx $50 total)
  6. Meals on the train out of DPRK - (bring your own food or eat dinner and lunch in the buffet car approximately $10 per person)
  7. Entry tickets for Mass Games (paid at the gate) Mass Games seating chart or other special events (Revolutionary opera, circus , etc).
  8. The lift up the Juche Tower $8
