Group Tours

All tourists arrive to Pyongyang by plane from Beijing. At present there is still a policy in DPRK restricting US nationals from leaving North Korea by train. As soon as train travel becomes available to US tourists we will offer this option. Departure by either train or plane is available for non-US tourists, please inform us of your choice at the time of booking. Train arrives to Beijing the following morning. Non-US citizens pay $50.00 plane return fee if they choose to depart DPRK by air, but they have an option to return by train without surcharge. US citizens are exempt from plane exit fee.
Dandong/Sinuiju extension is available only with return by train (not currently available to US citizens). *

Optional return on Air China requires $150.00 surcharge each way. Please see Air China schedule at the bottom of Independent Tours page.

During visit to Kumsusan Memorial Palace (Mausoleum of late DPRK leaders) men should wear button-up conservative shirt and tie.

Tourists are let loose there (a rare treat in the DPRK) and allowed to wander and mingle at will. The park has a few hidden gems and interesting stories we will let you know about when we get there.
